NaNoWriMo 2019 - Dubbo Write-ins

Are you participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) this November? If so, you might like to join some other local writers who are also making the (crazy!) attempt to draft a 50,000 word novel during November.

So just what is NaNoWriMo?

National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel during the thirty days of November. Now, each year on November 1, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with 50,000 words of a brand-new novel. Some get over that 50K finish line, others don't, but the main things is that we make the attempt.

To find out more about NaNoWriMo go to https://www.nanowrimo.org/ .

Write-Ins

Writing is usually a fairly solitary pursuit, but it can be made easier with some support and solidarity from like-minded writers. With that in mind, we have organised some Write-Ins for November.

A Write-In is a time for getting together with other people who are participating in NaNoWriMo at a particular place and time to write together, discuss NaNoWriMo and writing in general, meet local writers, network, and engage in fun activities aimed at boosting your word count. Write-ins are a great way to connect with other writes in the area, and help motivate you to write more.

Come and join us at one of our informal Write-ins during the month of November. You don't have to be writing a novel for NaNoWriMo to join the write-in. If you are writing something else, you are most welcome to come along and join us. Drop in and leave at whatever time suits you.

Dubbo NaNoWriMo Write-ins 2019:
  • Sunday 3 November 2019 @ 11am-2pm - Macquarie Regional Library (Meeting Room 2)
  • Sunday 17 November 2019 @ 11am-2pm - Macquarie Regional Library (Meeting Room TBA)
